Phelps - Virginia "Ginny" A. McClure Bowen, 73, of 1137 Nine Foot Road, died Monday (January 27, 2014) at her home. Friends may call 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 1) at Waterloo United Methodist Church, 21 E. William St., Waterloo. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. (Feb. 1) at church. Rev. Thomas Easttey, pastor of the church, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Waterloo United Methodist Church. Ginny was born Oct. 26, 1940 in Geneva, the daughter of Roland E. and Helen M. Lampsom McClure. She was a 1958 graduate of Geneva High School. Ginny was employed from 1957 to 2002 at Geneva General Hospital in the Medical Records Department. She was a longtime and active member of Waterloo United Methodist Church and a former member of the choir. She was an avid camper and bowler. She is survived by her husband, whom she married June 29, 1963, Earl L. Bowen; son, Matthew A. (Rebecca) Bowen of Phelps; daughter, Marjorie (Gregory) Daniel of Webster; grandchildren, Ashely Bowen, Mason Bowen, Jillian Daniel and Mackensie Daniel; and several nephews, cousins, and one uncle.
