Obituary of Eleanor Buck

Waterloo - Eleanor Marietta Buck, 99, passed away Saturday (January 25, 2014) at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. There will be no calling hours. The service of remembrance will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 1) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. Rev. Ellen Donnan, pastor of Junius Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Home, P.O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY, 13148. Eleanor was born June 21, 1914 in Phelps, the daughter of Claire and Elsie Mitchell Bennett. She was a homemaker and 4-H leader in Seneca County. Eleanor loved gardening, painting and traveling. She had many horticultural interests. She is survived by son, Dale R. (Thelma) Buck of Waterloo; daughter, Beverly (Darwin) Dunham of Waterloo; fifteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Trickler of Bluffdale, Utah and Muriel Goodman of Phelps; sister-in-law, Gertie Bennett of Phelps; and many nieces and nephews.
