Waterloo - Kenneth Eugene Bailey, 65, of 54 Inslee St., died Sunday (Dec. 29, 2013) at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic, with his loving family by his side. Friends may call 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday (Jan. 3) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The memorial service will be 7p.m. Friday (Jan. 3) at the funeral home. Military rites by members of Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, V.F.W. and Warner VanRiper Post 435, American Legion will be immediately following the memorial service. Rev. Bonnie Drake, Ken's niece, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Golisano Childrens' Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY, 14642. Ken was born Aug. 30, 1948 in Geneva, the son of Richard K. and Maude E. Kirby Bailey. He attended school in Geneva. Ken proudly served in the U. S. Army from 1968 to 1970 and then in the National Guard from 1982 to 1985. He was formerly employed with Durkee's Bakery in Geneva and later, Seneca News Agency until 1988. He was a member of Waterloo Memorial Post 6433, V.F.W. He is survived by loving wife of 42 years, Christine L. Ridley Bailey; son, Michael K. Bailey of Waterloo; daughters, Holly A. Bailey of Sodus Point and Melissa K. Bailey of Geneva; grandchildren, Timothy, Lindsey, Matthew, Wayne, and Callum; great-granddaughter, Ella; brothers, Edward Bailey of Waterloo and Rodney Bailey of Manchester; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Richard, Howard, Colin, Leslie, Ronald, Donald, Maynard, Robert, Reuben, and George Bailey; sisters, Henrietta Saracen, Elizabeth Calabrese, and Rose Marie White.
