What a wonderful grandmother! I have so many fond memories of spending time at her house, trips to Vermont, dining out, and shopping whenever possible. She was thoughtful and generous. She spent a considerable amount of time to get everyone meaningful birthday and Christmas gifts.
She was so happy that much of the family was able to come together to celebrate her 90th birthday. At the beginning of the celebration, she told me that she was shaking because she was so excited. It was great to see her so happy.
She will be greatly missed. ❤️

Leonie Seitz was as colorful a woman as her garden flowers. She was thoughtful, loving, generous and took care in her presentation. She reveled in her family life and was proud of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had her bad habits, of course, sneaking her cigarettes, hiding them from Frank. In my childhood we would take walks followed by a treat of chocolate equal to the calories we spent on our walk. But the holidays at the Seitz house were beyond compare and something I don't think I'll ever experience again. I will forever miss you Leonie, your love and appreciation of beauty, your temperance and devoutness, your tales of experience and your lust for life.
