Obituary of John Nelson O'Connor

SENECA FALLS – John "Jack" N. O'Connor, 86, of Seneca Falls, NY, passed away Sunday (November 17, 2024) at Geneva General Hospital, with his loving family by his side.
Family and friends may call from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (November 30) at Lake Country Christian Church, 68 Swift St., Waterloo, NY. The memorial service will immediately follow 2 p.m. at the church. Rev. Jamison Deacon, pastor, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harmony Food Pantry, 42 E Main St., Waterloo, NY 13165.
Jack was born August 19, 1938, in Auburn, NY, the son of John and Virginia L. Josyln O'Connor. Jack worked for 30 years with Sylvania in Seneca Falls. He later was employed with Guaranteed Parts in Seneca Falls. After Guaranteed Parts closed, he was employed with the NYS Chiropractic College working in the kitchen. His last place of employment was H. P. Neun in Seneca Falls. Jack was a longtime member of the former First Baptist Church of Seneca Falls. In recent years, he has been attending church at the Lake Country Christian Church. Jack was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his daughter Diane O'Connor of Seneca Falls, NY; son Thomas N. (Mary) O'Connor of Seneca Falls, NY; sister-in-law Laura Cochran of New Hope, NY; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Rosemary R. O'Connor; siblings Dorothy "Dot" Flummerfelt, Carl O'Connor, and Thomas O'Connor.
