ALTON — Wendy Jane Aaserud, 57, passed away Monday (October 7, 2024) at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY. Family and friends may call 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday (Oct. 16) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo, NY. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of one's choice. Wendy was born April 18, 1967, the daughter of Robert Maurice and Janet Louise Cottrell Sheehan. She was a 1985 graduate of Clyde High School and went on to work for many different employers. She greatly enjoyed her last job as an activities aid for Sodus Rehabilitation and Nursing for many years. Wendy is survived by loving daughter Jennifer L. Aaserud of Sodus, NY; sons Robert Aaserud of Andrews, TX and Zachary Aaserud of AL; grandchildren Matthew, Nickolas and Jayden; sister Cynthia Sheehan of Clyde, NY; nieces Marina Lyon and Olivia Lyon; uncles Robert Cottrell, Samuel Cottrell, Duane Cottrell, and William Jensen; aunts Linda (Joe) Mott and Nancy Thorn; great aunt Janet Green; and many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; uncles Donald Cottrell, Gerald Cottrell, Bruce Thorn and Richard (Janet) Cottrell; and aunts Janice Jensen, Hattie Cottrell and Millie Cottrell.
