Obituary of Ruth Ann Arno

SENECA FALLS — Ruth Ann Arno, 82, passed away unexpectedly Sunday (September 22, 2024) at home with her loving family by her side. Family and friends may call at 10 AM to 11 AM Monday (September 30) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY. The memorial service will immediately follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. Rev. Anita Milne, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Ruth was born August 2, 1942 in Geneva, NY, the daughter of Bruno Otto and Margaret Lena Shafler Andreas. She worked for many years as a launderer at Finger Lakes Laundry in Geneva, NY, and formerly employed with the Seneca Knitting Mill in Seneca Falls, Philips ECG in Seneca Falls, and Tar-Jac in Waterloo. Ruth enjoyed going to the casino in her free time with family and friends. Ruth is survived by her siblings James Andreas of Seneca Falls, NY, Robert (Linda) Andreas of TN, Linda L. Davoli of Seneca Falls, NY, and Eleanor (Jeff) Hudd of Buffalo, NY; and half-brother Richard Pollard of TN; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alvin J Arno.; parents Bruno and Margaret Andreas; and brothers Walter Andreas, William Andreas and Charles Andreas; and half-brother Orval Pollard.
