Obituary of Marlene Ann Carpenter

WATERLOO/GENEVA - Marlene Ann Crosier Carpenter, 90, passed away peacefully December 12, 2023. She was born August 2, 1933 in Geneva, N.Y., the daughter of the late Dr. Willard and Lucille Crosier. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside interment service, Saturday (June 15), at 11 a.m. at Canoga Cemetery, 3263 Cemetery Rd., Seneca Falls, NY. Visitation will follow from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Waterloo United Methodist Church, Waterloo, N.Y. in the Community Room. Marlene's Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the church sanctuary. There will be a time of "Marlene Memory" sharing for family and friends during the service. Rev. Linda Harris, Fulton State Street UMC, will officiate. Coe-Genung Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Marlene is survived by her husband of 68 years Ronald C. Carpenter; children Suzie (Mark), Sheldon (Mei), and Rick (Gail); eight grandchildren; devoted sister Dianne Crosier Weslowski; sister-in-law Nancy Crosier; lifetime friends and adoring family. Marlene was predeceased by her parents; brother Donald (Nancy) Crosier; and brother-in-law Chet (Dianne) Weslowski. As newlyweds, Marlene and Ron lived in Ithaca, both graduates of Cornell. The Carpenter family lived in Lyons Falls, Minetto and Oswego, New York before relocating to Lancaster, Pa. The bond of family and forever friends continue to be a true blessing to Marlene's loved ones.
