WATERLOO — Dale C. Butler, 82, passed away Monday (May 27, 2024) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo, NY.
The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday (May 31) at Brookside Cemetery, Snell Rd., Geneva, NY. Bishop James Thibert, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Fayette Ward, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165.
Dale was born June 10, 1941 in Geneva, NY, the son of P. Cecil and Dorotha P. Graham Butler. He was a 1960 graduate of Waterloo Central High School. After graduating he began working at Montgomery Ward in Geneva, NY. He was drafted to serve in the United States Army from 1963 - 1965. Upon his return home, Dale worked at the Seneca Knitting Mill and finally worked for Gould's Pumps in Seneca Falls, NY for over 30 years until his retirement. Dale was an enthusiast of all trains.
Dale is survived by his sister, Jean P. Butler of Waterloo, NY; uncles Russell Graham of Little Rock, AK and Bob Graham of CA; special cousins Ken (Ginny) Livermore of Geneva, NY and Charles Livermore of Hall, NY; and many other cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; uncles Frank, Ike, Obed, Wally, and George Butler, and Deryal, Dale and Jesse Graham; aunts May Phillips, Mary Livermore and Helen Butler.
