Obituary of Richard Zettlemoyer

Waterloo - Richard "Butch" E. Zettlemoyer, 74, of 1331 Hecker Rd. , died Sunday (October 27, 2013) in his home surrounded by his loving family. In keeping with Butch's wishes there will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 2) at First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Rev. Sarah West, interim pastor, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Home, P. O. 516, Seneca Falls, NY, 13148; Catholic Charities, 94 Exchange St., Geneva, NY, 14456. Richard was born June 8, 1939 in Fayette, the son of Robert and Tessie Vosh Zettlelmoyer. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving his country, in Germany, from 1959 to 1962. Returning from the service he began a long career as a printer working for Almarco's, Humprey's, Goulds Pumps and Seneca Falls Pennysaver, until his retirement. He was a former coach for Waterloo Little League. Butch was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley E. Brown Zettlemoyer; sons, Dale (Rhonda) Zettlemoyer of Waterloo and Dean (Kathleen) Zettlemoyer of Seneca Falls; daughter, Denise (Edward) Dilorenzo of Waterloo; grandchildren, Nicole (Dave) Cheney, Sara (fiance, Matthew Switzer) Zettlemoyer, Colin Zettlemoyer, Kevin Zettlemoyer, Bradley Zettlemoyer, Brandon Zettlemoyer, Michael Dilorenzo, and Julianna Dilorenzo; great-granddaughter, Emma Cheney; brothers, Donald Zettlemoyer of Geneva and Joe Zettlemoyer of Waterloo; sister, Edna Zettlemoyer of New York; and many nieces and nephews.
