WATERLOO – James A. Rosenberger, 70, of Waterloo, NY, passed away Friday (March 15, 2024) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, with his loving family by his side.

Family and friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday (March 21) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo, NY. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday (March 22) at the funeral home. Robert Shafer, elder, for Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints the Canandaigua Ward, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Child and Family Resources/Healthy Families, 263 Lake Ave., Penn Yan, NY, 14527.

Jim was born September 11, 1953, in Auburn, NY, the son of Harold and Marjorie Dobson Rosenberger. He graduated from Port Byron Central School District. Jim retired as a Chief Lineman from NYSEG in Geneva, NY, after 33 years of employment. He enjoyed camping with his family. Jim loved the outdoors and working in his garden. He never missed walking his beloved 4-legged companions. You could often see him enjoying bike rides near the water or toiling tirelessly over his meticulously maintained lawn.

He is survived by his lifetime partner Kathleen D. Storto of Waterloo, NY; sister Carol Coryell of Rochester, NY; daughters Julie A. (Shawn) McKnight of VA; Melissa (Julio Martinez) Saporito of Waterloo, NY, Jennifer (Robert Shafer) Storto of Canandaigua, NY, Michelle (Dane) Wojciechowski of N. Tonawanda, NY; son Samuel J. Nucci of Geneva, NY; grandchildren Tyler McKnight, Geneva McKnight, Rysen McKnight; Amber Mastrangelo, Katelyn (Kyle) Fenner, Ariana (Chris) Hilkert, Gabriella (Matthew) Liebel, Marek Wojciechowski, and Maksym Wojciechowski; great-grandchildren Bryson Anderson, Brielle Anderson, Elliot Liebel, and Myles Hilkert; many nieces and nephews; and his much loved puppies Pippa, Willow, and Cassie.
