WATERLOO — Bruce Gordon Butler, 88, passed away peacefully Thursday (February 1, 2024) at home with his loving family by his side.



Family and friends may call from 4 PM to 7 PM Wednesday (February 7, 2024) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 West Main St., Waterloo, NY. The memorial service will immediately follow at 7 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Colin Pritchard, pastor of Geneva Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be at NYS Veterans Cemetery – Finger Lakes, Varick, NY.

Bruce was born January 10, 1936 in Geneva, NY, the son of Charles Henry and Winifred Fleming Butler. He was a 1953 graduate of Waterloo Central High School and attended Auburn Community College. Bruce served in the United States Army as a Corporal from 1954 to 1957. He went on to become a Design Draftsman for Mobile Chemical in Macedon, NY for many years. In 1958, he married the love of his life, Gail.



Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gail A. Butler of Waterloo, NY; son Scott (Marcia) Butler of Waterloo, NY; daughters Leasa Morrison and Tamra "Tammi" Butler both of Waterloo, NY and Lauri Bradstreet of Rochester, NY; grandchildren Colter Morrison, Dylan Jones, Heather (Franky) Mendez, Cory (Camden McArdle) Smith, Erica Bradstreet, Syndey Butler, Maxwell (Brianna) Butler, Joseph (Crystal Easling) Clark, Shawn Clark, Aaron (Louissa Claure) Spano and Kara Spano; great-grandchildren Garrett Morrison, Reiken Morrison, Avery Beck, Declan Smith, Madelynn Smith, Rhea Booth, Lachlan Smith, Raelyn Smith, Rowen Clark, Maggie Clark, Rhys Clark, Valentino Mendez, and Lucy Jo; and several cousins.



He was predeceased by his parents.
