WATERLOO – Audrey J. Daeffler, 89, of Waterloo, NY, passed away Sunday (December 3, 2023) at the home of her daughter, with her loving family by her side.

In keeping with the wishes of the family there will be no calling hours. Services will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY, 14620.

Audrey was born September 1, 1934, in Ward, NY, the daughter of Claude W. and Aroline Kintner Coats. She was a graduate of the Canandaigua Academy. Audrey held secretarial positions with various businesses, the latest being the Seneca County Department Sheriff's Department. She was a member of the Waterloo Jaycees. Audrey and her husband enjoyed camping and were members of the Good Sam's Club. She was a longtime and active member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her children Cheryl (Clinton) Alger of Waterloo, NY and Karene (Thomas) Cook of Tampa, FL, Rodney Daeffler of Waterloo, NY, Douglas (Joan) Daeffler of Waterloo, NY, and Larry (Carla) Daeffler of Waterloo, NY; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers Lester Coats of Jordon, NY and Paul (Barb) Coats of Canandaigua, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband Roger P. M. Daeffler; daughter Nancy Jo Daeffler; grandchildren Brandon, Bradley, and Dusty Spurlin; and brothers, Richard, Gerald, and Clyde Coats.
