Obituary of David Howard Klehn

WATERLOO – David H. Klehn, 73, of Waterloo, NY, passed away Friday (May 5, 2023) at Geneva General Hospital.
Family and friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday (May 12) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, Waterloo, NY. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday (May 13) at the funeral home. Dr. Rev. Floyd Marsh, pastor of Harvest Field Baptist Church, will officiate. The burial will follow the service at Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Field Baptist Church, P.O. Box 176, Fayette, NY, 13065.
David was born November 20, 1949, in Batavia, NY, the son of Rudolph J. and Arlene G. Hoak Klehn. He was a 1967 graduate of Batavia High School. During his years of employment, he worked a variety of managerial, service, and sales roles at Proven Design, Hartman, Timber Harvester, and Rando Machine. David was a Harvest Field Baptist Church member and former deacon. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working on vehicles, flying RC airplanes and racing RC cars, collecting slot cars, traveling, and reading.
He is survived by his last love and wife, Judy L. Klehn; his children, Jim (Amber) Klehn of Mt. Morris, NY, Beth (G. Byron) McQuilkin of Waterloo, NY, Jodi (William Rodas) LaVoie of Clifton Springs, NY and Maria (Craig Sadamitsu) Colon of Lihue, HI; grandchildren, Chelsea (Frankie) Caswell, Taylor (Chloe) Lopiccolo, David J. (Megan) Klehn, Michael (Shelby) Klehn, Ashley LaVoie, Katie (Ed) Macaulay, Kevin (Amanda) Heaton; several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Floyd Heaton of Shortsville, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Cheryl A. Klehn; granddaughter, Alexis M. Williamson; and sister, Donna Heaton.
