Obituary of Harold Victor Smith

ROMULUS – Harold V. Smith, 78, of Romulus, NY, passed away peacefully, Saturday (February 18, 2023) at Geneva General Hospital.
Family and friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday (February 23) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA, 02241-7005.
Harold was born February 9, 1945, in Waterloo, NY, the son of Alfred and Jenny Clark Smith. He attended school in Waterloo. As a teenager he worked at Mitchell's Gas Station in Waterloo. Harold retired after 27 years of service at the Seneca Army Depot in Romulus. After retiring from the depot, he was employed for 20 years as Department Manager with Wal-Mart in Geneva, NY.
He coached the Seneca Falls Little League, basketball at the Seneca Falls Community Center, and coached Vince Lombardi football in Seneca Falls. Harold enjoyed and attended every high school and college sporting event his children played in. He was also a Boy Scout volunteer. Harold also enjoyed catching up with his brothers and sisters at family reunions, watching the Buffalo Bills, Yankees, and NASCAR. He especially loved spending time with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married 56 years ago Daun Santpietro Smith; sons Timothy Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Todd (Kileen) Smith of Geneva, NY; daughter Tina (Ronaldo) Jordan of Hanahan, SC.; grandchildren Julia (Dylan), Connor, Jace, and Victoria; great-granddaughter Lainey; brothers Marvin, Robert, Richard, Wayne, Dale, Don, and Roger; sisters Linda, Victoria, and Joyce; many nieces and nephews.
Harold was predeceased by his parents; brothers Jim, Alfred, Benny, and Jack; and sisters Beverly, Helen, and Hazel.
