Obituary of Kathryn Wright

Waterloo - Kathryn Ryder Wright, 67, of 1836 Rt. 5 & 20, died Thursday (August 22, 2013) at Highland Hospital in Rochester. In keeping with the wishes of the family there will no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Seneca Community Church, Awana Club, 5738 St. Rt. 96, Romulus, 14541. Kathryn was born Nov. 15, 1945 in Penn Yan, the daughter of Kenneth L. and Vesta I. Kirby Ryder. Kathyrn was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy. She began employment with the Columbian Rope Co. until she married and had her family. Later, she worked at Wal-Mart until she retired two years ago to devote more time to her grandchildren. She is survived by daughers, Wendy (Stephen) Scowcroft of Waterloo and Lori (Richard) Belknap of Auburn; grandchildren, Brandon Scowcroft and Lindsay Scowcroft;sister, Col. Myrtle Ryder; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one granddaugter, Hannah Kate Scowcroft; and sister, Laura Ryder Faulkner Bennett.
