WATERLOO – Candace A. Baker, 61, of Waterloo, N.Y., passed away Sunday (September 18, 2022) at Living Center North in Geneva, Geneva, N.Y.

In keeping with the wishes of Candace, there will be no calling hours or public service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY 13165.

Candy was born December 21, 1960, in Albion, N.Y., the daughter of Norman N. and Lois Strayer Baker. She was a graduate of Waterloo Central High School. While living in Georgia for a few years, she was employed as a convenience store clerk for Flash Foods. Some of the hobbies she enjoyed were baking, crocheting and needlepoint embroidery. Candy enjoyed being with and chatting with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, James Cooley of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; daughter, Amanda Cooley of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; and very dear friends, Tracy and Scott Ridley and their son, Nash of Waterloo, N.Y.

Candace was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, Richard J. Baker.
