WATERLOO – Dawn M. King, 67, Waterloo, NY, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday (September 11, 2022) with loving family by her side. In keeping with Dawn's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of one's choice. Dawn was born November 19, 1954, at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois, the daughter of Gordon L. and Ada M. Brewer Hiney. She was a 1972 graduate of Waterloo Central High School. Dawn graduated from Finger Lakes BOCES and Marion S. Whelan School of Nursing as LPN. She began her nursing career at Geneva General Hospital, then at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Leaving employment at Auburn Memorial Hospital she worked at Clifton Springs Hospital. Dawn later was employed with the Finger Lakes DDSO, until 1999. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Lynn King; sons Eric (Shea) Colton and Kenneth Colton both of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren Tyler, Autumn, Caitlyn, and Conner; and aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and one nephew. Dawn was predeceased by her father, mother and step-father James Tyzivani; and brother Gordon L. Hiney, Jr. Condolences and remembrances may be sent to www.coegenungfuneralhome.com.
