Obituary of George Truman Hunt

FAYETTE – George "Gilbert" Truman Hunt, 74, passed away Friday (July 29, 2022) at Strong Memorial Hospital.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours or service. Burial will be in Fayette Rural Cemetery, Fayette, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165.
George was born August 9, 1947, in Waterloo, NY, the son of the late Carroll B. and Emma R. Woodruff Hunt. He was a graduate of Waterloo Central High School. George was employed many years with Seneca Army Depot in Romulus, NY, until the depot closed. He was a quiet man. George enjoyed working with wood and remodeled the interior of his home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Jan L. Hunt; daughter Sarah Nolan of Romulus, NY; son George W. Hunt of Greenville, SC; sisters Carolyn (LeLand) Muir of Twin Falls, ID and Jane (Robert) Masters Barr of Salt Lake City, UT; three grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by brothers Paul, Charles and John Hunt.
