Obituary of Kevin Paul Gurinowich

WATERLOO – Kevin P. Gurinowich, 50, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday (July 2, 2022) with his loving family by his side. Family and friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday (July 19) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (July 20) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilmont Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY, 14642. Kevin was born December 24, 1971, in Geneva, NY, the son of John J. and Linda Uerkvitz Gurinowich. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School. He was a local handyman. Kevin was also employed with various area businesses. He is survived by his fiancé Jessica A. Law; mother Linda J. Uerkvitz Darling of Waterloo, NY; children Brandon (Caitlin) Smith of Waterloo, NY, Kristina Smith of Seneca Falls, NY, Samuel Q. Gurinowich of Waterloo, NY; stepsons Mark E. Quenan of Seneca Falls, NY, William F. Petrie, II of Romulus, NY, Ford Petrie and Bronc Petrie both of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren Kellin, Neryssa, and Matthew; uncle and aunt Robert (Linda Sue) Uerkvitz of Rochester, NY; aunts Betty Uerkvitz and Donna Stahl both of Waterloo, NY; many cousins; his best friend Chris Robbins of Ogdensburg, NY. Kevin was predeceased by his father John J. Gurinowich; Stepfather Roger Darling; maternal grandparents Paul and Janet Uerkvitz; paternal grandparents Walter and Vincenza "Vinnie" Gurinowich; and Skeeter LoPiccolo.
