He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in 1944. Harry was employed for 35 years with Boss-Linco Trucking Lines, Inc. in Buffalo. He was also maintenance director at Bethany Baptist Camp in Sinclairville. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Auburn.
