Obituary of Mary Jane Shults

WATERLOO – Mary Jane Shults, 68, formerly of Waterloo, passed away Monday (November 8, 2021) at Hornell Gardens, Hornell, NY. In keeping with Mary Jane's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday (November 20) at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands, 48 Cemetery Ave., Menands, NY. Rev. Don Rutherford, will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Belief Services, 228 W. Lexington St., Baltimore, MD, 21201-3443. Mary Jane was born October 17, 1953, in Potsdam, NY, the daughter of Frank A. and Eileen C. Sullivan Thompson. She was a 1972 graduate of Albany High School. Mary Jane was employed with National Savings for about 8 years as head of the Student Loan Dept. She worked for other employers as well. Mary Jane was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughters Amanda (George) Argyriadis of Worcester, MA and Erin (Jay) Smith of Corpus Christi, TX; sons Thomas (Amy) Shults of N. Tonawanda, NY and Matthew Shults of Jacksonville, FL; one granddaughter and one grandson; sisters Anne Thompson and Eileen Thompson both of Albany, NY.
