Obituary of Robert LeRoy Robinson

WATERLOO – Robert "Red" L. Robinson, Jr., 77, of Waterloo, NY, passed away, Saturday (June 19, 2021) at Pathway Home, with his loving wife by his side.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday (June 29, 2021) at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Center St., Waterloo. Rev. James Fennessy, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterloo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Home, P. O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY, 13148.
Bob was born May 5, 1944, in Benton Township, MO, the son of Robert L., Sr. and Etta L. Easley Robinson. He was a 1962 graduate of Waterloo Central High School. Bob retired after 36 years of employment with Goulds Pumps. While employed he also served as a union steward, union grievance and safety representative. He also organized many retirement parties for his fellow employees. Bob was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a former member of MacDougall Sportsmen's Club. Bob helped to coach Little League Baseball and Jr. Football in Waterloo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Barbara J. Murdock Robinson; son Russell Robinson of OK; daughter Karen (Stephen) Knickerbacher of TX; grandchildren Elizabeth, Katie, Olivia, Stephen, Sarah, Aiden, and Krystal; two great-grandchildren; sisters Marjorie (Walter) Hauf of Waterloo, NY, Joyce Henry of Rochester, NY, and Patsy Hauf of Lyons, NY; sisters-in-law Linda Robinson, Mary Lou Murdock, and Deb Patrick all of Waterloo, NY; many nieces and nephews, and special cousin Marie Cook of Rochester, NY.
Bob was predeceased by his parents; brother James A. Robinson, Sr.; father-in-law Francis R. Murdock, sister-in-law Marilyn Murdock; and brother-in-law David Patrick.
There will be a reception at the Waterloo Sportsman's Club, 2654 Edwards Rd., Waterloo, NY, following the service at the cemetery.
