Obituary of Myrtle Eileen Buchholz

WATERLOO – M. Eileen TenEyck Buchholz, 83, passed away Saturday (March 13, 2021) at Strong Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday (March 20) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Rev. Timothy Gleason, pastor of Waterloo United Methodist Church, to officiate.
Those attending calling hours and or memorial service MUST wear face masks and social distance. All MUST enter the funeral home through the parking lot doors and exit through the Main St. doors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165.
Eileen was born July 25, 1937, in Waterloo, NY, the daughter of Clarence and Ella Stowell TenEyck. She was a 1955 graduate of Waterloo High School. Eileen began working at A & P and then left to work for Acme Markets. Later she was a sales representative for Dutch Maid Clothing until she went to work for J. C. Penney Store in Geneva, NY. She was a member of Waterloo United Methodist Church. Eileen was president of the Finger Lakes C.B. Club. Eileen avid flower gardner, reader, cooking, and her cats.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Irving J. Buchholz; sons William I. Buchholz and Lynn (Mai) E. Buchholz both of Waterloo, NY and Daniel (Karen) R. Buchholz of Geneva, NY; sisters Erdine Spencer of Waterloo, NY, Maralene Healy of Greece, NY and Joan (Bill) Savage of Aurora, CO; sisters-in-law Ellen TenEyck, Barbara TenEyck both of Waterloo and Lorraine TenEyck of The Villages, FL; brother-in-law Robert Buchholz of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents; sisters Katherine Hayes and Gwendolyn Peck; brothers Robert, Erwin, Donald, Wallace, and Earl TenEyck; and sisters-in-law Catherine "Trink" TenEyck and Rose Patella; brothers-in-law Frank "Herb" Spencer, Patrick Healy, Henry Hayes and John Peck.
