WATERLOO – David R. Pelow, 74, formerly of Waterloo, NY, died Saturday (February 6, 2021) at Orchard Rehab and Nursing Center, Medina, NY. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours. The graveside service in North Main Street Cemetery, Newark, NY, will be announced in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes, 1529 State Route 414, Seneca Falls, NY, 13148. David was born November 12, 1946, in Albany, NY, the son of Russell J. and Betty E. Chase Pelow. He was a 1964 graduate of Waterloo Central High School. Dave attended at Ithaca College. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. Returning from the service he was employed at Chase's Family Restaurant, owned by his family. After leaving employment with the family restaurant, he was employed with various businesses in the Finger Lakes Area and also on Long Island. David was a former member of Warner VanRiper Post 435, American Legion. He is survived by three lovely daughters Renee (Justin Tubbs) Bates of Victor, NY, Candace (Matt) Smith of Farmington, NY, and Lisa Pelow of Garner, NC; sisters Judith (Russell, Jr.) Welkley of Wolcott, NY and MaryKay (James) Birch of Farmington, NY; grandchildren Kendon, Madison, Cole, and Andrew; and many nieces and nephews.
