Obituary of Dolores Rose Malchoff

CLYDE – Dolores "Dee" Rose Lawson Malchoff, 83, of Clyde, NY, passed away Saturday (January 23, 2021) at her home with family near her. In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be announced in the Spring. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Clyde, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Dee was born September 25, 1937, in Lyons, NY, the daughter of Leo and Mary Auberger Lawson. She was a graduate of Clyde High School. Dee worked most of her life in retail working for various retail companies, in particular J. C. Penney and Wal-Mart. She was most proud of being the first female manager for the Family Bargain Center, in Geneva, NY. Dee was a communicant of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clyde, NY. She was a member of the Kirk-Casey Post 366, American Legion Auxiliary in Seneca Falls, NY. She is survived by her loving husband Keith B. Malchoff; son Rodney Shepherd of Seneca Falls, NY; step-sons Chris (Debbie) Malchoff of Phelps, NY; Keith (Lynn) Malchoff, Jr. of Yuma, CO, and Mark (Cindy) Malchoff of Plattsburg, NY; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Dee was predeceased by her parents and siblings Gerald Lawson, Joseph Lawson, Ralph Lawson, Edward Lawson, Sr., Charles Lawson, Robert Lawson, Clarence Lawson, Dorothy Lawson Markel, and Raymond Lawson.
