Obituary of Betty Cross

She was a 1945 graduate of Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls. While a high school student she began working part-time for State Bank of Seneca Falls. She was employed at the bank until she and her husband began to have a family. She worked for the Seneca Falls School District as a cashier for the cafeteria while her children were young. Later, she returned to State Bank of Seneca Falls, now known as Bank of America, retiring as an Internal Control Auditor. She also worked beside her husband for many years, as a partner, at Cross Tax Service, until closing the office in 2008. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church in Seneca Falls for many years. She was a member of the Seneca Falls Chapter of the Rebekahs and the Order of the Eastern Stars. She and her husband loved to camp. She also enjoyed bowling.
