Tyre/Seneca Falls - Alice "Judy" Marie Garrett, 78, of 885 Middle Black Brook Rd., died Saturday (June 8, 2013) at her home surrounded by her loving family. Private calling hours and service for the family will be at their convenience. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852-3914 or American Heart Association, Founders Affiliate, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005. Alice was born June 6, 1935, in Waterloo, the daughter of Ernest and Ruth Cottrell Brownell. She attended Waterloo High School. She lived most of her life in Seneca County. She loved her family and caring for her home. Judy was a devout Christian woman committed to spreading the word of God and helping those in need. She enjoyed the beauty of God's creation in her home and gardens. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ray Garrett; sons, MIchael (Patricia) Garrett of Odessa, Larry (Catherine) Garrett of Van Etten, Donald (Diane) Garrett of Seneca Falls, Adam (Kimberly) Garrett of Carlisle, KY; daughter, Bonnie (Charles "Randy") Schulkers of Powhatan, VA;11grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Brownell of Clyde; sister, Betty Knapp of Trumansburg; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Ray "Bill" W. Garrett, III.; and two sisters, Susan Rickerson and Ruth "Lucille" Bingham. Condolences for the family may be left at coegenungfuneralhome.com
