Obituary of James Desbrough

Seneca Falls - James F Desbrough, 85, of 1306 Black Brook Rd., died Thursday (June 6, 2013) at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva. There will be no calling hours. The graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday (June 10) at Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. Rev. Kevin Grish, pastor of Tyre United Methodist Church, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman St., Rochester, 14620 or American Diabetes Association, 6390 Fly Road, 2nd Floor, E. Syracuse, 13057. James was born September 2, 1927, in Seneca, the son of George R. and Sarah J. Presler Desbrough. He was employed many years with area trash removal companies. He formerly attended the Tyre United Methodist Church. Jim was an avid gardener. He is survived by step-son: John (Betty) Froschauer of Seneca Falls; step-daughters: Margaret (Fiancee, Larry Spaeth) Garrett of Seneca Falls and Lillian Balliette of Waterloo; and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Lodine S. Desbrough, who died, Jan. 20, 2007. Condolences for the family may be sent to coegenungfuneralhome.com
