Obituary of Roy Edwin McBroom

WATERLOO – Roy E. McBroom, Jr., 76, of Waterloo, died Thursday (January 10, 2019) at Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, NY. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 15) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 16) at the funeral home. Gene Ceccarelli will officiate the Funeral according to the Grail Message by Abd-ru-shin. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. Roy was born April 2, 1942, in Bainbridge, NY, the son of Roy E. and Marie E. Kilmer McBroom, Sr. Roy was a US Army veteran serving from 1960 to 1963 during the Vietnam War. He worked for Borden Chemical for 17 years. Later, he was employed for 23 years with Wadhams Enterprise as a truck driver, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. Roy was an avid gardener. In his retirement he volunteered for the American Red Cross. He was a dedicated reader and follower of the words "In the Light of Truth" message by Abd-ru-shin. He is survived by his good friend and former wife, Roseanne McBroom of Waterloo, NY: daughter, Melissa (Joseph) Smith, of Waterloo, NY; sons, Roy (Karen) McBroom, III of Waterloo, NY and Kevin (Shauna) McBroom of Geneva, NY; grandchildren, Joshua (Madeleine) Tavano, Taylor Smith, Jessica McBroom, Ashley McBroom, BreAnn McBroom, Gregory Bell, Stephanie Bragg, and Brittany Naegele; sister, Connie (Terry) Reger of New Bern, NC; brothers, William (Elizabeth) McBroom of E. Syracuse, NY, Willard (Darlene) McBroom and Thomas (LuAnn) McBroom both of Fulton, NY; aunts, Joyce of Florida and Barb Eldridge of Pennsylvania; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
