Waterloo/Seneca Falls – Gloria Timian Cramer, 96, a longtime resident of Waterloo, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday (September 23, 2018) at the Edna Tina Wilson Community in Greece, NY. There will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 27) at First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Carl Coloney, chaplain for Rochester Regional Healthcare, will officiate. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Gloria may be sent to First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, 42 E. Main St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Gloria was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Hamilton, NY, the daughter of Frank Raymond and Edith Marie Page Timian. She was a graduate of SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music. Later she did graduate work at Columbia University and Ithaca College. Gloria taught music for over 20 years in the Geneva City School District, until retiring. During her retirement she and her husband traveled around the world. For many years, Gloria and Don enjoyed wintering on St. John, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Gloria, Don and their family also enjoyed many happy days at their home at Cayuga Lake. She was a longtime and active member of First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. She was also a member of the Waterloo Research Club, Phi Beta Psi Sorority, National Women's Hall of Fame, St. John Historical Society, and Retired Teachers Groups. Gloria enjoyed playing Bridge. Her amiable spirit and good-natured personality captured the hearts of all those who knew her. She is survived by her son, Donald L. (Elison) Cramer, Jr. of Rochester, NY; daughter, Susan (Laurence) Judd of Cary, NC; granddaughters, Jennifer Judd, Melissa Judd Nadel, Laura Cramer Avisatto, and Janet Cramer Nolan; and great-grandchildren, Mia and Miles Nadel, and Cora Nolan. Gloria was a devoted wife for almost 60 years, until the death of her husband, Donald L. Cramer, Sr., in 2008. Condolences for the family may be sent to www.coegenungfuneralhome.com.
