Obituary of Barbara Rickerson

Waterloo - Barbara Jean Rickerson, 68, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday (August 30, 2012) at her daughter, Kimberly Kise's home in Champlain. Friends may call on Friday (Sept. 7) from 7 - 9 p.m. at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 8) at the Waterloo United Methodist Church. Rev. Thomas Easttey, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Home, P.O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Barb was born November 13, 1943 in Waterloo, the daughter of Robert C. and Vivian M. Chalker Rickerson. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School. Barb retired from Waterloo School District after 25 years of driving bus. She is survived by four daughters, Darlene Jean Roberts of Hopewell, Sandra Lynn (James Bounds) Kise of Waterloo, Tammy Sue Kise of Weedsport, Kimberly (James Murphy) Kise of Champlain; 7 grandchildren, Tammi Lynn Kise, Michael John Roberts, Jr., Jayme Elizabeth Derby, Jacob Christopher Curran, Robert Kise, Joseph DeLair, and Vivian Jean Layne Murphy; one step-granddaughter, Alyssa Murphy; four great-grandchildren, Alija James Kise, Amyia Jamaelyn Kise, Javonte Lawrence Brown, and Gianna Josephine Roberts; former husband, Marvin Lewis Kise of Waterloo; many nieces and nephews; a very close friend and cousin, Carol Bunce. she was predeceased by her two brothers and one sister-in-law, Charles Rickerson, Robert and Sue Rickserson.
