WATERLOO – Lois E. Baker, 89, died Tuesday (February 20, 2018) at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waterloo, N.Y. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Monday (Feb. 26) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Gerald Graziano, pastor of Finger Lakes Christian Fellowship of Seneca Falls, officiating. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beverly's Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Lois was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Waterloo, N.Y., the daughter of George and Emma Bellinger Strayer. Lois was a graduate of Waterloo High School. She was a Seneca County Deputy County Clerk for 45 years, then served as Recording Clerk in Seneca County. She was a member of the Warner VanRiper Post435, American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, Candace (James) McMillen of Mareitta, Ga.; granddaughter, Amanda Cooley; and grandson, James Cooley both of Seneca Falls, N.Y.; sisters Shirley McCutcheon of Seneca Falls, N.Y., and Cathryn Kidd of Fairport, N.Y. Lois is predeceased by son, Richard Baker; sisters Dorris Strayer, Winnifred Thorpe and Joyce Strayer; brothers John, Richard, George and Raymond Strayer; and special friend Peter Borsa.
