Waterloo – Kenneth E. Sheradin, 81, of 18 Indian Hills Drive, died Thursday (January 18, 2018) at Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic, with his loving family by his side. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday (Jan. 22) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 23) at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waterloo, NY. Rev. James Fennessy, pastor of the church, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Sampson Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Varick, NY. Ken's family requests that memorial contributions be directed to a charity of one's choice. Ken was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Seneca, NY, the son of Wayne E. and Irene Morse Sheradin. He was a 1954 graduate of Waterloo High School. He then graduated in 1956 from Alfred Tech with an Associate's degree in business. Graduating from college he then served in the U.S. Army until 1958. Returning from the service, Ken was employed for 33 ½ years with Mobil Chemical, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Waterloo Lions Club for twenty plus years. Ken was Junius Town Supervisor from 1973 to 1974 and also served as county supervisor. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed being on the Senior Bowling League in Geneva. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sylvia C. Sheradin; sons, Paul Sheradin of Waterloo, NY and Jeffrey Sheradin of Manchester, NY; daughter, Lori (Ronald) Marcy of Poultney, VT; grandchildren, Amanda (Nick) Munch, Elizabeth Marcy, Stephanie (Kevin) Condren, and Joshua Sheradin; and special friends, Richard and Nancy Shaver, Jamestown, NY; one niece and one nephew; and many cousins.
