Romulus - Leon E. McCulloch, 90, of Yale Farm Rd., died Thursday (April 13, 2017) at his home, surrounded by his loving family. There will be no prior calling hours. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday (April 28, 2017) in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization of one's choice. Leon was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Seneca Falls, NY the son of Harold and Helen Zwick McCulloch. He was a crop farmer at C&A Farms in Romulus. Leon plowed snow and mowed roadsides part-time for the Varick Highway Department, with long- time friend, Chuck Alger. He was a member of the NYS Horse Pullers Association and was on the Hector Grazing Board of Directors. He enjoyed gardening and snowmobiling. He dedicated his life to driving and pulling his draft horses. He is survived by sons, Richard (Pam) McCulloch and Randall McCulloch, both of Romulus; daughters, Sandy (Danny) Templeton of Ten Mile, Tenn., Patsy Cool of Geneva and Marie (William) Green of Romulus; grandchildren, Brian (Nicole) Templeton, Kimberly (Rodger) Scott, Billy (Kristen) Green, Kyle Green, Lori (Josh) Westervelt, Greg (Brooke) Cool, Robin (Nick) Ripple and Ricky (Alex) McCulloch; 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his loving dog, Mitzie. He was predeceased by his wife, Mabel "Bubs" McCulloch; son-in-law, Jimmy Cool; and brothers, Clair and Stanley 'Butch" McCulloch.
