Obituary of Frank Anthony Volpe

Frank "Papa" A. Volpe Sr. WATERLOO– Frank "Papa" A. Volpe, Sr., 91, died Friday (February 17, 2017) at Geneva General Hospital. There will be no calling hours. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday (February 22, 2017) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The Rev. James Fennessy, pastor of St. Francis/St. Clare Parish, will officate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Red Cross, 123 W. Market St., Corning,NY, 14830. Frank was born August 11, 1925, in Lyons, son of Anthony and Mary Colasurdo Volpe. He retired from the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, serving his country for 32 years. He was a member of Geneva American Legion Post 396 and Clyde V.F.W. Post 947. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Brad) Steinruck of Waterloo; son, Frank A. Volpe, Jr. of Waterloo; his much beloved grandchildren Bradley (Ashley) Steinruck of San Diego, Calif. and Chelsea Steinruck of Rochester, George (Mary Ann) Volpe of Winter Park, Fla.; many nieces and nephews.
