Obituary of Joseph John Brazo

Joseph J. Brazo, Jr. WATERLOO– Joseph J. Brazo, Jr., 89, of 2867 St. Rt. 96 South, died Saturday (December 3, 2016) at Geneva General Hospital, with his family by his side. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be announced in the Spring. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY, 14620, Attn: Development Office. Joe was born December 3, 1927, in Ithaca, the son of Joseph J. and Anna Richards Brazo. He served inthe National Guard. He assisted his father in his plumbing business. Moving to Waterloo and Seneca Falls area, Joe retired from Sylvania in Seneca Falls, after 38 years of employment. Joe was a member of the Sylvania Quarter Century Club. He was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He was also an usher for the church and a member of the church's Mens' Club. Joe was an avid pilot and owned his own plane. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Frances "Frannie" M. Brazo; daughters Joyce Flood and Sally San Pietro, both of Waterloo and Kathy Grant of Newark Valley; stepsons Ronald E. (Mary) Fisher, Randy Jahna, and Robert (Sonia) Davis, all of Waterloo, Kenneth J. Jahna of New Bern, NC, and Michael Jahna of Geneva; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Jane (James) VanGelder of Rochester and Joanne Huling of E.Hilton; cousin John Brown of Ithaca; many nieces and nephews.
