WATERLOO - Jack H. Freer, 78, of 3013 East Ave., died Thursday (April 21, 2016) in Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, with his loving family by his side. In keeping with the family's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association – Rochester Chapter, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620. Jack was born May 20, 1937, in Johnson City, the son of Kent and Helena Medlock Freer. He was a graduate of Binghamton North High. Jack retired from AT&T as a supervisor in 1978. After retiring from AT&T his family moved to Waterloo, where he and his wife owned and operated Fashion-Fain Homes. Jack and his wife also owned and operated the Waterloo Motel. Jack was a member of Waterloo Lions Club. He was founding member of the National Buyers Group. He served as a councilman for the Town of Waterloo. He was also a member of the Waterloo Education Foundation. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly J. Hartzell Freer; son, Jack (Karen) Freer of Seneca Falls; daughter, Suzette (David) Jodeit of Waterloo; grandchildren, Gregory, Tyler, and Brielle Jodeit, Kaitlin (Marc) Balistreri, and Sheldon Freer; great-grandson, Greyson Balistreri; brother, Robert (Joan) Freer of Philadelphia, Penn., many nieces and nephews.
