Obituary of Margaret Bennett

Waterloo - Margaret W. "Mickie" Bennett, 59, of 64 Church St., died Tuesday (February 16, 2016) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, with her loving family by her side. Friends may call 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday (Feb. 19) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 9 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 20) at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waterloo. Rev. James Fennessy, pastor, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pathway Home, P. O. Box 516, Seneca Falls, NY, 13148. Mickie was born Aug. 10, 1956 in Waterloo, the daughter of Sumner W. and Margaret Clare White. Mickie was a 1974 graduate of Waterloo High School. She was a 1975 graduate of Clifton Springs Nursing School. For twenty years, she was a nurse for various healthcare facilities and doctor offices. For the past 17 years, she was a teaching assistant for the Waterloo School District. Mickie was a member of Waterloo in Bloom and Celebrate Commemorate committees. She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 38 years; Walter E. Bennett, Jr.; children, Lisa Michelle Bennett, Walter Michael (Andrea) Bennett, and Andrew Steven (Lora) Bennett all of Waterloo; grandchildren, Kamryn, Walter M., Jr., Clare, Landen, Logan, and Presley; brothers, James S. White and William R. "Beezer" (Colleen Booth) White both of Waterloo; sisters, Susan C. White of Syracuse and Patricia C. "Peggy" Avon of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.
