She was a 1967 graduate of Clifton Springs. Kathy was formally with the Waterloo School District and then other businesses in the Finger Lakes area. She was a former member of the Waterloo Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxillary and the Warner VanRiper Post 435, American Legion Auxillary. Kathy and her husband, are members of Flames Are Us.
