Obituary of Leon Lind

Geneva - Leon Robert Lind, 82, of Geneva, died (December 9, 2012) at Living Center South Geneva. In keeping with Leon's request, there will be no calling hours. The graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 12) at Glenwood Cemetery in Geneva. Rev. William Darrow, pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY, 14620, Attn. Development Office. Leon was born Dec. 27, 1929 in Waterloo, the son of John and Anna Sorensen Lind. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School. He also graduated from Morrisville College and Alfred University. Leon retired after many years of employment with the NYS Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean War. He is survived by two sons, John and Jeffrey Lind both of Geneva; daughter, Hope Murray of Waterloo; grandchildren, Emily Lind and Matthew Murray; and one niece.
