Geneva/Waterloo - Kim M. Leiterman, 60, of 27 Lyceum St, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday (January 14, 2016) at her home with her loving family by her side. There will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 23) at Waterloo United Methodist Church. Rev. Laura Calos, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery in Brownville, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Waterloo United Methodist Church, 21 E. William St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Kim was born Aug. 15, 1955 in Brattleboro, VT, the daughter of the late Glenn and Dorothy Pierce Chapman. She was a 1974 graduate of Brattleboro High School in Brattleboro, VT. Kim was most recently employed at Waterloo United Methodist Church as church secretary and was a very active member. She served as chair of the church Memorial Committee and sat as a member of the Church Council. She was also a very active member of Closer Walk of Upper New York. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Lynn Leiterman; children, Heather (Wei) Su of Harriman, NY, Matthew Leiterman of Columbus, OH, and Allison (Chad) Smith of Duncan, OK; grandchildren, Celeste Bernhardt and Glenn Su both of Harriman, NY; sisters, Betty Weatherhead of Guilford, VT and Irene (David) Miller of Vernon, VT; brother, Ronald (Jill) Chapman of Greenville, SC; sisters-in-law, Anne Chapman of Lyndonville, VT and Joanne Chapman of Chino, Calif.; and brother-in-law, Gene (Reda) Leiterman of Oklahoma City, OK; and many nieces and nephews. Kim was predeceased by sister, Marilyn Best; brothers, Roy Chapman, Russell Chapman, James Chapman, and Robert Chapman; brothers-in-law, Roger Weatherhead and Norman Best; and nephew Gregory Bover.
