Obituary of Florence Rey

Waterloo - Florence V. Rey, 90, of Waterloo, died Saturday (November 7, 2015) at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 14) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Raymond Pichany, reader for the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Waterloo, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1072 NY Route 96, Waterloo, NY, 13165 Florence was born Feb. 6, 1925 in Manhattan, the daughter of Leon J. and Susan Blair Pecor. Florence's days were busy taking care of her home and caring for her 14 children. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Edward Rey of NC and Dennis Rey of Waterloo; daughters, Florence M. Rey of E. Stroudsburg, PA, Louise J. Rey of Geneva, Barbara (Edward) Roberts of South River, NJ, Kathy Rey of Geneva, Mary (Kenneth) Hudson of Hendersonville, NC, Patti (Harry, Jr.) Swinehart of Waterloo, Peggy (Raymond) Mateo of Geneva, Mindy (Robert) Urban of Lyons, and Michele Huffman of Waterloo; many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Edward F. Rey; sons, Daniel and Robert Rey; and one daughter, Colleen T. Rey; sister, Margaret.
