Obituary of Elizabeth Adair

Waterloo - Elizabeth Marian Adair, 87, formerly of River Street, died Thursday (November 22, 2012) at Oak Hill Manor in Ithaca. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday (Nov. 26) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. Rev. Joy Novack, pastor of Romulus Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Romulus Presbyterian Church 5614 Route 96, Romulus, 14541. Elizabeth was born January 8, 1925 in Covert, the daughter of Henry and Edna Hill Stannard. She was a 1943 graduate of Interlaken High School and a 1961 graduate of Geneva School of Practical Nursing. She retired from Taylor Brown Memorial Hospital in Waterloo after many years of employment as a nurse. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including locally: Diane Barlow, Ron Schmidt, Charles Batty, Ann Warwick, and Leon, Phillip, Keith, and Dale Stannard. She was predeceased by her husband Leland W. Adair on May 30, 1970, an infant daughter: Gail M. Northrup, brothers: Floyd, Alfred, and Leslie Stannard and sisters: Mable Batty and Viola Schmidt.
