Obituary of Wayne Maddox

Waterloo - Wayne W. Maddox, 55, of Waterloo, died Sunday (August 2, 2015) at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday (Aug. 7) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home. The memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday (Aug. 7) at the funeral home. Rev. Charles Tompkins, will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wimont Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY, 14642. Wayne was born Nov. 24, 1959 in Lockport, the son of Jackie Ward. He was formerly employed as a roofer. Spare time was spent with family, friends, socializing and playing cards. One of his greatest passions was fishing. Wayne also enjoyed refinishing furniture. He is survived by daughters, April (Andrew Tompkins) Ward of Seneca Falls and Angel Morran of Ithaca; stepson, Sean Bounds of Geneva; stepdaughter, Amber Maddox of Colorado Springs, CO; his mother, Jackie Ward of Interlaken; sisters, Helen Marie Stewart of Phelps and Virginia (Walter Hefferon) Maddox of Clyde; and many nieces and nephews.
