Waterloo/Irondeqoit - Linda M. (Cole) Preston, age 64, Waterloo, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday (July 28, 2015) at Strong Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family. Her family will receive friends at a celebration of her life on Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 12 - 7 p.m. at Spies Lodge, Camp Eastman, Lake Shore Blvd, Irondequoit or a celebration of her life 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 9) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to The Waterloo Library and Historical Society, 31 E. William Street, Waterloo, New York, 13165. Linda was a marvelous wife, mother, sister and friend to many, but above all her favorite role was "Grammalinda". Linda and Bill enjoyed the antique car hobby for many years, and she especially enjoyed dressing in era clothing. Home and family mattered to her most with other pleasures including gardening, camping and kayaking. Linda is survived by Bill her loving husband of thirty years, sons, Greg (Kim) Nelson and Lee (Nicole) Nelson of Irondequoit, beloved sister, Kim Lucyszyn and family of Walworth. The Grammalinda crew includes Kayla Coleman, Abby Nelson, Jessica Ignizio (all of Irondequoit), and Hanna and Jeremy Nelson of Princeton, MN.
