Waterloo - K. Bruce Frantz, 87, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday (July 26, 2015) at Fairport Baptist Home in Fairport. There will be calling hours 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday (July 31) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 12 p.m. Friday (July 31) at the funeral home in Waterloo. Rev. Dr. Deborah Lind-Schmitz, pastor of Geneva Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, 42 E. Main St., Waterloo, NY, 13165. Bruce was born October 16, 1927 in Seneca Falls, the son of Kenneth P. and Edna G. Parker Frantz. He was a 1945 graduate of Waterloo High School. Bruce served in the U. S. Army from 1946 to 1947 and 1950 to 1953. He retired from Sylvania, after being employed from 1949 to 1988. Bruce was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, having served as one of the deacons for the church. He was Boyscout Leader for Pack 81, associated with First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Bruce was also a 64 year member of Warner Van Riper Post 435, American Legion. He is survived by step-son Richard "Scotty" (Vivian) Scott of Waterloo; step-daughter, Sharon Powers of Waterloo; six step-grandchildren, Randy (Sharon) Scott of Waterloo, Rick (Kay) Scott of Seneca Falls, Chrissan Decker of Geneva, Robert (Jackie) Scott of Hamburg, Gregory (Jackie) Powers of Phelps, Daniel (Kate) Powers of Camillus; several step great-grandchildren.
