Arthur was born May 25, 1929, in Middletown, the son of the late Richard O. and M. Dorothy Creeden Hall. of Ridgebury. Having graduated from MIddletown High School in 1947, Art began his career with GLF, now Agway, Inc. A year later he enlisted in the U. S. Army for a duration of three years, part of which was spent in Korea. Art attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Having returned to the states in 1951, he was transferred by GLF to Oneida, where he met the love

of his life, Edda Anne Zeppieri, They were married in 1953 and had three children. Art and Edda celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in August. Art's professional career brought him many promotions, culminating in his position of manager of the Agway Distribution Center in Geneva. He retired from this position, having worked 41 years with Agway. During his retirement from Agway, he owned and operated the Powder Horn Gun Shop in Waterloo.

Art loved his work and enjoyed serving his community. Few things gave him more satisfaction than politics and political discussion. In Port Jervis, New York, Art was elected Alderman-at-Large on the first bi-partisan mayoral ticket in that city. Locally, he served as presidents of Geneva Growth and the International Managers' Council (IMC). He was a member of the Boards of Directors for the National Bank of Waterloo and Geneva General Hospital, serving on the search committee that hired James Dooley, as Geneva General Hospital's longest serving hospital administrator. For a time, he was a member

of the Finance Committee for St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Art was a dedicated sportsman and conservationist. He served as president of the Beaverbrook Hunting Club in downstate New York and later, on the club's Board of Directors for many years. He was an early member of the Waterloo Rifle and Pistol Club, a member of the Federation of Sportsmen, and the NRA. Strongly advocating for the protection of endangered wildlife, Art was a founding member and served as the first president of Seneca White Deer, Inc.

Most of all, Art was a family man - the best of husbands, fathers, and grandfathers.

He is survived by his loving wife, Edda; daughters, Gail Maria

(James) Williams of Milford, Mass. and Linda Dorothy (Charles) Lee of Waterloo; beloved grandchildren, James Christopher, Matthew Mark, and Katherine Mary Williams, Daniel Arthur and Patrick Charles Lee; brother, Frank (Jane) Hall of Johnstown; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many wonderful nieces and nephews.
