Obituary of Raymond Hines

Savannah - Raymond Anson Hines, 67, of Savannah, died Tuesday (February 17, 2015) at Geneva General Hospital in Geneva. Calling hours and memorial service will be announced later. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to organization of one's choice. Raymond was born Sept. 16, 1947 in Waverly, the son of William G. and Alice Curtiss Hines. He was U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War. Returning from the service, he was employed for many years at Borg Warrner in Ithaca. He left his employment at Borg Warner to be a mechanic for Hunt's Auto in Ithaca. He is survived by his daughter, Kristine Freda of Savannah; son, Robert W. Hines of Mc Lean; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, George (Eddie) Hines of Marathon, Wesley (Sara) Hines of Newark Valley, Joel (Sondra) Hines of Newark Valley, and Fred (Patty) Hines of Candor; uncle, Mert (Pat) Hines of Owego; and many nieces and nephews.
