Romulus - Bonita Joyce Stonesifer, 65, of 5253 East Lake Road, went home to be with her loving Lord and Savior, Sunday (February 15, 2015) at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Friends may call 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 18) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 18) at the funeral home. Rev. David R. Kidd, pastor of Bethal Bible Fellowship Church, will officiate. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lifetime Care Hospice.
Bonita was born June 3, 1949 in Auburn, the daughter of Ernest, Jr. and Elinor Phelps Wade. She was a graduate of Paul V. Moore School in Central Square. Bonny began employment with Nettleton Shoe Company in Syracuse. Then moving to Massachusetts she worked for a shoe company and a bank. Returning to New York, she and her husband moved to Syracuse, where she was employed by Merchants Bank. Moving to the Finger Lakes in 1982, Bonny then became a home care provider for mental health services through Willard Psychiatric Center. She later became a home care provider for the Newark DDSO. Bonny was a member of the Bethel Bible Fellowship Church in Romulus.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Stonesifer; daughters, Barbara Drought of Altmar and Susan Drought of Stigler, OK; eight grandchildren, Derek Percival, Deana Percival, Jimmy Durgan, Ashley Durgan, Andrea Dulin, Jessica Dulin, Kimberly Dulin, and Christina Dulin; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Alan (Marie) Wade of Lake Placid, FL. and Dale "Ricky" (Regina) Wade of Ft. Pierce, FL; sisters, Darlene (Richard) Glahn of Cleveland, Marsha Meneilly (Jon Mosher) of Aurora, Gail (Curtis) Smith LeHeigh Acres, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was predeceased by her parents; two infant sons; one grandson, Seth Saucier; three brothers, Dennis Wade, Dean Wade, and E. Edward Wade, III.
